Sissy can't find me in the tunnel!I make this fireplace look good! Why yes, I am a therapy dog! This side is my best side!

Tammy Tucker has been training dogs (and their people) for nearly a decade.  She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and an Evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test.  She is certified in Pet First Aid for cats and dogs and stays current on pertinent dog training and behavior issues by attending various seminars, workshops, and conferences throughout the year.  She instructs group classes including puppy kindergarten, obedience, and competitive dog sports.  She also works with clients one-on-one to successfully resolve training and behavior issues.

In her former career as a missile design engineer Tammy developed skills in analysis, problem solving, and communication.  This skillfulness in addition to her love and understanding of dogs made her transition into the world of dog training very natural and uncomplicated.  She uses her sense of humor and enthusiasm to encourage people to laugh and have fun while training their dogs.  Her training methods advocate a positive and compassionate relationship between dogs and the people who love them.

Tammy enjoys all aspects of training but is particularly passionate about training dogs to help people in some capacity.  She has done therapy work with her own dogs and when scheduling permits she offers group therapy dog classes to help people ready their dogs for therapy dog activities.   In 2011 she began training assistance dogs for wounded US Veterans.
